Antique Asscher Cut Diamond in Intricate Baguette Setting

The Sully 3.79 ring is an AB design. The ring centers a GIA-certified 3.79 carat Asscher Cut diamond of I color, VS2 clarity. The stone is set in a beautifully constructed piece with baguettes outlining and tapering down the shoulders, each custom cut for the shape of this stone and to fit together seamlessly. There are 24 baguette/trapezoid cut diamonds that combine for 2.76 carats of G-H color, VS clarity. The stones are all set in Platinum with delicate hand-engravings decorating the profile. The ring is currently size 6.5 and can be resized! 

Why We Love It 

When we came across this amazing stone, we knew she needed a standout setting. This lovely stone has so many of the antique characteristics that we search high and low for. The first is the Culet: the "hole" in the center of the diamond, which is the signature mark of an antique stone. Next, the high crown. It's what creates that beautifully unique faceting that you see- the crisp linear facets that almost look interwoven. It also produces that wonderful play of light that ripples across the stone. 

This setting is the perfect home for this dreamy diamond. The baguettes mirror the linear faceting and create an elegant, Art Deco-inspired flow across the finger. Each stone was custom cut to nestle into each other, a process called Calibré Cut- labor intensive but well worth the effort for a beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece like this one.
