The Maya ring is a vintage octagon halo engagement ring from the Art Deco era, circa 1920! This beauty centers a GIA certified 1.93 carat old European cut diamond of M color, I1 clarity. The diamond is bezel set in a platinum setting with an octagon-shaped halo of 8 old European cut diamonds. An additional two old European cut diamonds line each shoulder with the side diamonds all combining for approximately 0.82 carats. The gallery and side profiles have hand engravings, and the shank features delicate fluting. The ring is size 5 and can be resized!
There are definite Art Deco themes in this dream ring! The center diamond comes to life with fiery facet patterns and an incredible sparkle. Those chunky OEC diamonds accent the center stone perfectly! The octagon outline lends a nice geometric feel that is both streamlined and somewhat playful—giving an appearance somewhere between the windows on a house or a crystal carousel. Each of the diamonds in the halo is lined with fine hand engraving, creating an excellent interplay of textures! There’s so much detail packed into this gorgeous ring!

Because halos work well with a variety of shapes, they are a perfect way to tie everything together and create uniquely cohesive designs. Here are just a few more reasons halo rings have remained so popular over the years:
