Vintage rings (and vintage everything) seem to be gaining in popularity these days, and rightly so. There are so many wonderful reasons to choose vintage jewels over freshly made pieces and here are my top reasons as to why:

Arguably the best reason for old stones is that you are reusing or recycling (if you repurpose an old stone into something new) diamonds or other gems that are already in existence. A lower demand for new diamonds can lessen the crime that can be associated with mining them.

Before the advent of laser cutting, diamonds were often cut by hand which means that no two stones were the same. These one-of-a-kind pieces that represent eras past are generally full of character and are less cookie-cutter than the rings you will find in traditional retail storefronts.

3. Timeless Designs

These rings were in style in 1901, they are in style today, so they will most likely be in style in 100 more years when your great great grand children receive these precious jewels! And as well all know, they can last forever because "these rocks don't lose their shape!"
